Confusing as can be

Went to visit my parents for Thanksgiving. My dad, who is retired, showed me the information he received from his former employer about the Medicare Part D drug benefit. On the first page it says to "read this notice carefully," which I suppose is a good idea. I read it quickly and the only thing I got out of it was that if he dropped his current coverage and enrolled in Part D he'd be crazy. It would have been simpler if they'd just said that directly.
